DAY 6 (Bb) - After a leisurely breakfast your journey continues via Linköping and Nyköping through picturesque lakes and forests to Stockholm which encompasses 14 islands and more than 50 bridges on an extensive Baltic Sea archipelago. The cobblestone streets and ochre-coloured buildings of Gamla Stan (the old town) are home to the 13th-century Storkyrkan Cathedral, the Kungliga Slottet Royal Palace and the Nobel Museum. Arrival in Stockholm and your hotel late afternoon. After check-in and some time to relax and freshen up the remainder of the day is at leisure. Mileage approx. 200 miles.

 

DAY 7 (BB) - The day at leisure in Stockholm

DAY 1 (CO) - Early evening sailing to Holland from Harwich, Hull or Newcastle. Once on board you can relax and enjoy the facilities on-board as you sail overnight from the UK. Your accommodation is in a 2 berth inside en-suite cabin, or for an added touch of luxury, why not upgrade to an outside cabin or one of the premier class cabins (subject to availability). There's a choice of restaurants to cater for all tastes with a variety of delicious food and a number of bars allow you to unwind whilst enjoying live music and entertainment.

 

DAY 2 (HB) - Breakfast on board followed by an early morning arrival in Holland. After embarkation you'll drive north through Holland and into Germany where you enjoy an overnight stop at the Frommanns Landhotel Buchholz, Hamburg. A welcome group dinner is included at the hotel.  Mileage approx. 310 miles.

 

DAY 3 (HB) - After a leisurely breakfast your routing today takes you via Lübeck and Neustadt to Puttgarden on the Island of Fehmarn where you'll board a mid-morning Scandlines ferry to Rødby in Denmark. After disembarkation the drive from Rødby to Copenhagen takes you via the islands of Lolland and Falster before crossing on to the Mainland with arrival in Copenhagen and your hotel should be late afternoon. After check-in and some time to relax and freshen up the remainder of the day is at leisure.

DAY 4 (BB) - The day at leisure in Copenhagen

DAY 5 (HB) - Departing Copenhagen after breakfast today you'll cross from Denmark to Sweden via the Øresund Crossing, the longest combined road and rail bridge in Europe. The crossing consists of a 4 km (2.5 mile) tunnel from the Danish island of Amager to the artificial island of Peberholm and a bridge that then runs nearly 8 km (5 miles) to Scania. The Øresund Bridge is the longest combined road and rail bridge in Europe. From Scania you'll head north through central Sweden to Jönköping on the shores of Lake Vättern. It’s known for its long lakeside beach, Vätterstranden and in the town centre is the 19th-century Sofia Church, with its neo-Gothic design and towering spire. Arrival in Jönköping and your hotel should be late afternoon. After check-in and some time to relax and freshen up. Dinner is included at the hotel. Mileage approx. 210 miles.

DAY 8 (BB) - The day at leisure in Stockholm - then in the evening you'll board an overnight ferry from Stockholm to Turku in Finland. Once on board you can relax and enjoy the facilities on-board as you sail overnight from the UK. Your accommodation is in a 2 berth inside en-suite cabin, or for an added touch of luxury, why not upgrade to an outside cabin or one of the premier class cabins (subject to availability). There's a choice of restaurants to cater for all tastes with a variety of delicious food and a number of bars allow you to unwind whilst enjoying live music and entertainment.

 

DAY 9 (BB) - After a morning arrival and disembarkation in Turku you'll make the two hour drive via Salo and Lohja to our third Baltic capital city, Helsinki where you should arrive late morning. The city offers lots to see and do including Helsinki Cathedral, Esplanade Park, the Market Square and the National museum of Finland to mention just a few attractions. Check-in at the hotel is normally mid-afternoon, however you will be able to store your luggage at the hotel, allowing you to maximise your time in Helsinki. After checking in the remainder of the day is at leisure.

 

DAY 10 (BB) - Today you'll leave your car at the hotel and be transferred by mini bus to Helsinki Station for the high-speed train journey to St Petersburg where you should arrive late morning. On arrival in St Petersburg station you'll be met by our local guide who will take you on an afternoon city sightseeing tour including the Peter and Paul Fortress, the Church of the Saviour on Blood and the Hermitage Museum. You'll then be taken to your hotel and after check-in and some free time to relax, the remainder of the day is at leisure.

DAY 11 (BB) - A second full day sightseeing in St Petersburg with your guide. Today you'll visit the Tsar's Village, The Catherine Palace and the Amber Room then in the afternoon you'll visit Peterhof and the wonderful Fountain Gardens and Palace.

 

DAY 12 - The day at leisure in St Petersburg followed by a late afternoon transfer back to St Petersburg station for your high-speed train back to Helsinki. There is a restaurant car on the train where you can get something to eat before arriving back at Helsinki Station, from where you'll be transferred back to your hotel.

 

DAY 13 (BB) - The day is at leisure in Helsinki before boarding a late afternoon (17h00) overnight ferry crossing to Travemünde in Germany. Your accommodation is in a 2 berth inside en-suite cabin, or for an added touch of luxury, why not upgrade to an outside cabin or one of the premier class cabins (subject to availability). There's a choice of restaurants to cater for all tastes with a variety of delicious food and a number of bars allow you to unwind whilst enjoying live music and entertainment.

 

DAY 14 (CO) - The day at sea to relax and enjoy the facilities on board. Arrival in Travemünde is at 21h30, followed by the short drive to the Maritim Strand Hotel - Check-in and overnight.

 

DAY 15 (BB) - Departing Travemünde and the hotel after breakfast, today you've got the full day to make your way back through Northern Germany and Holland to your port of departure. Again your accommodation on-board is in a 2 berth inside en-suite cabin, for an added touch of luxury, you can upgrade to an outside cabin or one of the premier class cabins (subject to availability). There's a choice of restaurants to cater for all tastes with a variety of delicious food and a number of bars allow you to unwind whilst enjoying live music and entertainment.

 

DAY 16 (CO) - Morning arrival back in the UK
