"I've Just returned from the Black forest, I didn't fill in your questionnaire but can tell you we had a great time, everything went very smoothly, hotels were good and the hotel in Hornberg was wonderful apart from being in the 3rd.floor with no lift, next time will pay the extra for a lower floor which I didn't know was possible. However on a lighter note please send me hard copy of all the particulars on the Italian lakes need to drive that pass and something I have always wanted to do. Next year a must. Also nice group of people on the trip different cars, so not just boring Mercedes talk."  Regards, Bill Bryce.

The Champagne Route start in Epernay and Reims, famed for their prestigious champagne houses such as Moët et Chandon, Mercier and Veuve Clicquot. However, between these two towns and stretching south of Epernay, acres of vines covering gently rolling countryside are waiting to be explored where the villages are dotted with ‘vignerons’, family run vineyards which delight in continuing a unique and long established tradition

Each champagne is different, though all are produced using the same three varieties of grape, pinot noir, pinot meunier, and chardonnay. Our vineyard route passes through Oger, classified as one of the “most beautiful villages of France” and ‘not to be missed’ is Hautvillers, famous for its abbey where Dom Pérignon is said to have discovered the secret of champagne making.
