We've just got back from the Classic Ford Dutch Tour. I must say, an excellent hotel, superb location and can't fault the food. The boat trip was an added bonus, most entertaining and gave us all a break from driving (for those who went on it) and the itinerary contained many interesting places to visit. We all agreed it was a fantastic weekend and the essence of the Classic Ford tour after all these years is that it has become a fantastic reunion for some whilst still attracting new people. Best regards Jono
The Flower Route also known as the Bloemen Route starts in Haarlem and runs for approximately 25 miles south to Leiden, this drive takes in the densest concentration of flower fields, with alternating strips of flowers shooting in thick ribbons of primary colors to the flat Dutch horizon. The show starts as early as late January, when the first crocuses come up. These are followed by daffodils, narcissi, and hyacinths. Irises and tulips emerge through early May, followed by gladioli, dahlias, and fragrant lilies.

Volendam is one of Holland’s real gems. A typical
Dutch fishing village that has hardly changed for six centuries. The characteristic small houses, which together with the canals and the drawbridges form the most picturesque spots, present the visitor with an atmosphere of geniality and romance.
Keukenhof Gardens is one of the largest flower gardens in the world. Annually over 7 million flower bulbs are planted in the park, covering an area of 32 hectares. Keukenhof is located in South Holland in the small town of Lisse, south of Haarlem and southwest of Amsterdam in an area called the "Dune and Bulb Region". Please note: Keukenoff is open from mid-March to mid-May. The best time to view the tulips is around mid-April, depending on the weather.
