Ireland's Ancient East Tour Itinerary
Day 1 (D) - Early afternoon ferry crossing from Holyhead to Dublin or Fishguard to Rosslare followed by the drive to Gorey in County Wexford and the Hotel. Depending on your ferry times, you can explore some of the sights and attractions of ireland's Ancient East. After check-in and a little time to freshen-up a Welcome Group Dinner will be served in the restaurant - Mileages approx. 55 miles from Dublin Port / 45 miles from Rosslare Port

Day 2 (BB) - Breakfast followed by the day at leisure to explore Ireland's Ancient East. Today you can enjoy a scenic drive throught the Wicklow Mountains National Park, the largest of six national parks in Ireland and also one of the most popular. It was established as a protected area in 1991, and for a long time it has been attracting numerous visitors with its mountainous scenery, lush forests, long interesting history. Attractions include; Glendalough, home to one of the most important monastic sites in Ireland. This early Christian monastic settlement was founded by St. Kevin in the 6th century and from this developed the “Monastic City”. Other attractions include: Wicklow Gaol and the town of Avoca, home of the popular tv series 'Ballykissangel'. The evening is at leisure in Gorey - Mileage approx. 115 miles
Day 5 (BB) - Breakfast followed by departure from the hotel and Gorey. Again depending on your ferry time, you may have some more free time to expolore Ireland's Ancient East before heading to Dublin or Rosslare Harbour for your ferry crossing back to the mainland - Mileage approx. 55 miles to Dublin Port / 45 miles to Rosslare Port
Day 3 (BB) - Breakfast followed by the day at leisure to explore Ireland's Ancient East. Our suggested routing today takes you south via Wexford, home of the Wexford Heritage centre. Then it's on to Waterford where you'll have the opportunity to visit the world famous Waterford Crystal visitor centre before making your way north to Kilkenny. Attractions here include; Kilkenny Castle, Kilkenny Famine Experience and the Medieval Mile Museum. Returning to Gorey late afternoon with the evening at leisure in Gorey - Mileage approx. 155 miles - Mileage approx. 90 miles
Day 4 (BB) - Breakfast followed by the day at leisure to explore Ireland's Ancient East which is crammed with wonderful, quirky things to do, whether it’s exploring the eerie dungeons of Wicklow Gaol, the fascinating Neolithic tombs of Cavan Burren Park, Hook Head Lighthouse and Dunbrody Famine Ship in Wexford or a guided tour through the Irish National Stud & Japanese Gardens in Kildare, The evening is at leisure in Gorey.
