DAY 6 (BB) - Forst to Dinant - Departing the Hotel and Forst after breakfast today you'll have the choice of taking the direct route via Kaiserslautern, Saalouis and Arlon to Dinant, or a more scenic routing via the Parc Naturel Regional des Vosges du Nord, Bouillon and Vresse-Sur-Semois. Arrival in the picture-postcard town of Dinant on the River Meuse should be late afternoon/early evening.
DAY 1 (D) - Calais to Soissons - Morning P&O Ferry departure from Dover to Calais (other routes available on request) followed by the drive via Northern France to Soissons and the Best Western Plus Hotel des Francs - Mileage: approx. 150 miles
DAY 2 (HB) - Soissons to Forst - Departing Soissons and the Hotel after breakfast the direct route today takes you via Reims, Frankienthal and Hockenheim. If you prefer a more scenic routing you could take the R37/R39/R35 via Frankenstein, Neustadt and Lingenfeld. Arrival in Forst and the Seehotel should be late afternoon/early evening with dinner included at the hotel - Mileage: approx. 304 miles
DAY 3 (BB) - The day at leisure to visit the Technic Museum Speyer where you can wander around inside an original jumbo jet, as well as inspect the inner workings of a submarine and a sea rescue cruiser. In the halls you will find the largest space flight exhibition in Europe, offering the Russian space shuttle BURAN, an original Moonstone, space suits, a Soyuz landing capsule, as well as locomotives, vintage cars, fire trucks, motorcycles, and thousands of other exhibits - Mileage approx. 20 miles each way
DAY 4 (BB) - Today you'll enjoy a morning tour of the Mercedes-Benz Factory in Sindelfingen, the largest plant in the world provides a detailed insight into the fascinating world of vehicle manufacturing. The tour begins at the press/stamping shop, where the parts first take shape, to where the robots perform their ballet in the body shop all the way to the marriage of the body frame to the chassis in the assembly shop. In the logistics’ supermarket you can see how the parts for the vehicles are prepared to be transported to the assembly lines, among other systems, by the two driverless transportation systems called “Bertha and Gottlieb”. The afternoon is then at leisure to visit Stuttgart, home of the Porsche Museum, located next to the headquarters of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, here you'll find one of the most spectacular car museums in the world inspired by over 80 vehicles on the 5,600 square metre exhibition area and the Mercedes-Benz Museum, the only museum in the world that displays in a single continuous timeline the more than 130 years of auto industry history from its very beginnings to the present day - Mileages: Sindelfingen approx. 57 miles each way / Stuttgart approx. 60 miles each way
DAY 7 (BB) - Departing Dinant after breakfast today you'll make the final journey back to Calais and the UK. You will have the choice of taking a Scenic or a more direct drive to rendezvous with your return P&O Ferry crossing back to Dover.
