The Pyrenees mountain range separates the Iberian Peninsula from the rest of Europe, stretching more than 430km between Spain and France and rising higher than 3,400m in elevation. The Pyrenees offers a gorgeous landscape of high mountains, green valleys, dramatic gorges, pristine lakes, and rushing waterfalls. The important towns lie along the rivers, creating a peaceful ambience. The Hautes-Pyrénées encompasses the Parc National des Pyrénées (National Park of the Pyrenees Mountains) that borders Spain.

"A great trip! Some of the mountain drives were terrific with fabulous views. The Parador hotels were fanastic, beautiful and interesting and as in a previous Scenic Car tour holiday we experienced. We started as a group of strangers, for us at least, and by the time we finished we had some great new friends." We look forward to the our next tour.

Regards Derek

Andorra is a tiny, independent principality situated between France and Spain in the Pyrenees mountains. It’s known for its ski resorts and a tax-haven status that encourages duty-free shopping. Capital Andorra la Vella has boutiques and jewelers on Meritxell Avenue and several shopping centers. The old quarter, Barri Antic, houses Romanesque Santa Coloma Church, with a circular bell tower.

& THE PYRENEES

The Historic Grand Prix of Pau is the oldest Grand Prix race in the world and is one of the great street circuits in Europe overlooked by the impressive Pyrenees. The circuit is located in the heart of the city and has seen may incredible duels over the years involving legends such as Jean Manuel Fangio, Alberto Ascari, Jack Brabham and Sterling Moss. During the race weekend, roads are closed to local traffic on Saturday and Sunday and the circuit is set in parkland, with many twists and turns. There are some great free viewing points around the circuit and the general atmosphere is very relaxed paddock. In the centre of the town you can enjoy the paddock with an abundance of historic cars.
