The Enchanting Black Forest

A Wonderful 8 Day, 7 Night Tour including 5 Nights at the Hotel Schloss Hornberg

Sardinia & Pyrenees Tour Itinerary

DAY 13 (HB) - Departing the hotel and Andorra after breakfast, today  you'll experience the drive on the N-260 or  Eje Pirenaico as it's known locally. The N-260 is one of the best drives in the Pyrenees and for a good reason, in contrast to several tight and very high Tour de France mountain passes, the N-260 offers the driver plenty of long straights followed by smooth corners that you can drive really fast. One minute you might be driving inside a forest and the next minute you are entering a hairpin bend ready to start your climb up a small pass. Your routing today takes you via Andorra la Vella, La Seu d'Urgell, La Pobla de Segur, Bonansa, Campo, Fiscal, Jaca and Sangüesa before arriving at the beautiful Parador de Sos del Rey, Católico late afternoon. After check-in and some time to freshen up dinner is included at the hotel - Mileage: approx. 240 miles.

DAY 10 (HB) - The day at leisure to relax at the Hotel or to explore Alghero, one of Sardinia's most beautiful medieval cities. Encircled by ancient walls, it’s known for its cobblestoned old center. Its Catalan Gothic buildings include the Cattedrale di Santa Maria, with an imposing bell tower, Palazzo Guillot and Chiesa di San Francesco, a 14th-century church.

DAY 11 (BB) - Early morning departure from the hotel for the short drive (20 miles) to Port Torres for a morning sailing back to Barcelona. The ferry arrives in Barcelona early evening so we would recommend that you eat on the ferry before disembarkation and the drive to Lavern (30 miles) and the Hotel Sol i Vi where you should arrive mid evening - Mileage approx. 60 miles.

DAY 12 (HB) - After a leisurely breakfast, today sees you heading north into the spectacular Spanish Pyrenees via Manresa, Sallent, Gironella and Puigcerdà.
